Adding Another Language On Duolingo
On Duolingo, adding a new language is very simple. However, if you don’t know the procedure then follow the steps written below:
On Duolingo App
To add another language to the Duolingo app, follow these steps:
- Open the Duolingo app on your mobile device.
- Once the app is opened, go to the Home Screen.
- Now, tap on the Flag Icon at the top left corner.
- When you do so, a couple of options will appear.
- Now, tap on the “+” icon.
- When you do so, you will be asked to choose the language that you want to add.
- After selecting the desired language, tap on the Continue button.
- When you do so, you will be asked a few basic questions about the language as shown in the below image.
- After selecting the level, tap on the Continue button.
- When you do so, you will be asked to choose one option.
- Once selected, tap on the Continue button.
- Now, you need to complete certain basic lessons.
- When you do so, you will gain your first Streak.
- Once done, the language will be added to your Duolingo account.
- Now, tap on the Flag icon again and see the same.

If you are using Duolingo on your PC then use the steps mentioned below to add a new language.
- Open a web browser and visit Duolingo.com.
- After that, log in to your Duolingo Account.
- Once logged in, click on the Flag Icon at the top right corner.
- From the drop-down menu, select “Add a new course”.
- Now, select the language you want to add.
- Now, select your level in this language then click Start or Continue.
- When you complete its basic lessons, you will have the new language added to Duolingo.

How to Switch Between Languages on Duolingo
Once you have successfully added a new language to Duolingo, you can learn both languages simultaneously by switching from one course to another.
To switch between two languages on Duolingo, apply the steps mentioned below:
- Open the Duolingo app.
- Tap on the Flag Icon at the top left corner.
- This will show you the list of the languages you have added to your account.
- Select the language you want to switch to.
- Once you do so, the Duolingo app will show the course and progress for the selected language.
