Removing A Duolingo Account

You cannot delete your Duolingo Account directly from the Android App. To get it deleted, you must use its web version.

To learn the process of removing your Duolingo account, follow the steps written below:

Open Google Chrome or any browser on your Mobile or PC.
Once opened, visit www.duolingo.com.

After visiting its official site, click on the “I Already Have An Account” option as shown in the below image.

Now, you will be asked to log in. Now, use the Facebook or Google account that you had previously used to log into Duolingo.

Once logged in, click on the MORE option from the left side and choose Settings.

After that, you need to click on the Profile option from the right side.
Now, you need to scroll down until you find the “DELETE MY ACCOUNT” option.

When you click on “DELETE MY ACCOUNT”, you will be shown two options — Access Personal Data and Erase Personal Data

If you want to take a copy of your data stored by Duolingo, click on the ‘Access Personal Data’ button.
If you want to erase your Duolingo data, click on the ‘Erase Personal Data’ button. You can change your decision and go back from here.
When you click on any of these buttons, you will receive a confirmation on your registered email.
Notably, you still have 30 more days to re-use it. To delete your Duolingo account permanently, do not log in again till 30 days and your account will be deleted.
