Duolingo is quite popular among language learners across the world. The app is known for its gamified approach to the learning process with bite-sized lessons.

This platform uses some techniques to motivate and encourage users to keep completing lessons every day.

One of those techniques is Duolingo Achievements.

What Are Achievements on Duolingo

Achievements are nothing but rewards that you get upon completing certain tasks or lessons on Duolingo.

This can be completed by playing games, participating in competitions, and more. Some Duolingo achievements are pretty easy to obtain while others are quite difficult. 

As soon as you complete all achievements on Duolingo, it will turn GOLDEN.

How To View Duolingo Achievements

Here are certain steps to view an achievement on Duolingo on different devices:

For Desktop

To see Duolingo’s achievements on the web, you need to visit its official website. After visiting the site, you need to log into your account.

Duolingo Achievements

Once logged in, click on your Profile Icon from the left side. When you do so, you will be shown all the achievements you have completed so far.

To view all achievements, click on the ‘VIEW ALL‘ option.

For Android

Duolingo Achievements

To view Duolingo achievements on the Duolingo app, launch the app and tap on the Profile Icon. After that, scroll down until you the Achievements section.

All achievements you have completed on Duolingo can be seen by tapping on the VIEW ALL option.

For iOS

To see your Achievements on the Duolingo iOS app, tap on your Profile Icon. In a new window, scroll down to achievements.

Click on View All to see all the achievements you have earned so far.

Photogenic

Duolingo Achievements

Photogenic is one of the easiest achievements to unlock on Duolingo.

To get it unlocked, all you need to do is upload a profile picture.

It doesn’t need to be your picture, you can keep any picture for it. 

As soon as you upload a clean profile pic on Duolingo, you will have this achievement unlocked.

Weekend Warrior

Duolingo Achievements

To unlock Weekend Warrior achievement on Duolingo, you need to complete a lesson on Saturday and Sunday.

However, Duolingo has removed this achievement from Android and iOS devices with the latest update.

Friendly

Duolingo Achievements

Friendly is one of the easiest achievements to unlock on Duolingo. To unlock it, you must follow three users on Duolingo.

According to reports, this achievement has been renamed as a Social butterfly.

Strategist

To unlock this achievement, you need to tap on the tips option and read the tip before beginning the lesson.

However, some courses do not have a tip. The courses that have the tip page are: French, Portuguese, Spanish, Japanese, German, and Italian.

Unfortunately, this achievement has been removed. 

Winner

Duolingo Achievements

A difficult achievement to unlock. To unlock the Winner achievement on Duolingo, you must reach the top in the league you have taken part in.  

A league is a randomly selected group of Duolingo users that battle it out to get the most XP at the end of a week.

If you have the most XP in your league, you’ll finish top and gems or lingots, promotion to the next league, and the Winner’s achievement. 

As per the latest update it is known as League MVP for Achievements 23/24.

Champion

The Champion achievement is related to your daily leagues. Each league represents a different level.

You will have to finish in the top 10 every week to get promoted and on reaching the Diamond League you will have this achievement unlocked.

Unfortunately, it is no longer available on Duolingo. 

10 leagues And their levels:

  • Bronze League – Level 1
  • Silver League – Level 2
  • Gold League – Level 3
  • Sapphire League – Level 4
  • Ruby League – Level 5
  • Emerald League – Level 6
  • Amethyst League – Level 7
  • Pearl League – Level 8
  • Obsidian League – Level 9
  • Diamond League – Level 10

Unrivalled 

To unlock this achievement, you need to win the Diamond League.

To win the Diamond League on Duolingo, you need 4000-5000 XP points. Though it is tough but not unattainable. 

You must try to earn more XP to win the final league by completing lessons, performing daily competitions, and more.

As per the latest update, it is now known as Rarest Diamond for Achievements 23/24.

Sharpshooter

Duolingo Achievements

To unlock the Sharpshooter achievement on Duolingo, you must complete 100 lessons without making any mistakes.

It is now known as Flawless Finisher for Achievements 23/24. But is still Sharpshooter on the desktop.

  • Completing a lesson 
  • Completing 5 lessons
  • Completing 20 lessons
  • Completing 50 lessons
  • Completing 100 lessons

Regal

To unlock this achievement, you need to earn 100 crowns by covering all 10 levels.

  • Earning 3 crowns
  • Earning 7 crowns
  • Earning 12 crowns
  • Earning 18 crowns
  • Earning 25 crowns
  • Earning 35 crowns
  • Earning 50 crowns
  • Earning 65 crowns
  • Earning 80 crowns
  • Earning 100 crowns 

This achievement has been removed after the latest update.

Scholar

Duolingo Achievements

It is one of the best achievements on Duolingo. It is quite helpful in gaining fluency in your target language.

To unlock the Scholar achievement, you need to learn 350 words in a single course. It has 10 levels all in a single course to unlock the scholar’s achievement.

The Scholar is known as a Word collector for Achievements 23/24 and is only available on the web.

Sage

Duolingo Achievements

Another tough achievement to complete as you need to earn 12500 XP to unlock the Sage achievement.

It is known as XP Olympian for Achievements 23/24 on Mobile but Sage on the desktop.

Wildfire

Duolingo Achievements

To unlock the Wildfire achievement on Duolingo, you need to complete a 125-day streak. This achievement has 10 different levels.

As per the latest update, it is only available on the web.

Challenger

This achievement can be obtained only on mobile and you need to earn XP points in a timed challenge.

It is divided into levels and you need to get 5000 XP points by following the given levels:

  • Earning 40 XP points
  • Earning 120 XP points
  • Earning 500 XP points
  • Earning 1000 XP points
  • Earning 5000 XP points

As per the latest update, it is now known as Speed Racer for Achievements 23/24 and is only available on the mobile app.

Conqueror

To unlock Conqueror achievement, you must earn 5 crowns in every skill. This achievement is divided into 5 levels.

You need to be constant and log in every day to unlock this achievement. As per the latest update, it has been removed from the platform.

  • Earn 1 crown in each skill 
  • Earn 2 crowns in each skill 
  • Earn 3 crowns in each skill 
  • Earn 4 crowns in each skill 
  • Earn 5 crowns in each skill 

Page Turner 

To unlock the Page Turner achievement, you will have to read a load of stories.

Currently, these stories are only available in 6 different languages – Spanish, French, German, Japanese, Portuguese and Italian.

If you are not learning one of these languages, you won’t be able to unlock it.

  • Spanish
  • German
  • Japanese
  • French
  • Portuguese
  • Italian

Notably, it is not available anymore.

Nocturnal  

To unlock Nocturnal achievement on Duolingo, you must schedule a Duolingo session at the day ending and complete the lessons between 10 pm and 11:59 pm.

After the latest update, it is known as Sleepwalker for Achievements 23/24 and is available on Android and IOS.

Legendary  

This achievement was first introduced in 2023. To unlock it, you need to complete the legendary levels. It is known as Legend for Achievements 23/24 post the update.

Early rise

Early Rise is a newly added achievement. To unlock this achievement, you must complete 200 lessons before 9 am.

This achievement also has 10 different levels:

  • Level 1 Complete 10 lessons
  • Level 2 Complete 15 lessons 
  • Level 3 Complete 20 lessons
  • Level 4 Complete 30 lessons
  • Level 5 Complete 40 lessons
  • Level 6 Complete 50 lessons
  • Level 7 Complete 75 lessons
  • Level 8 Complete 100 lessons
  • Level 9 Complete 150 lessons
  • Level 10Complete 200 lessons

Available in “Achievements 23/24 Redesign“.

Quest champion

To unlock this achievement, you need to complete a different number of quests. You need to follow the 10 levels to unlock the achievement-

  • Complete 10 quests
  • Complete 25 quests
  • Complete 50 quests
  • Complete 75 quests
  • Complete 100 quests
  • Complete 200 quests
  • Complete 300 quests
  • Complete 400 quests
  • Complete 500 quests
  • Complete 750 quests

It is redesigned as Quest Explorer for Achievements 23/24 post the latest update.

Mistake Mechanic

To achieve this achievement, you need to correct 1000 mistakes in total and go through different levels to achieve it.  

Year of the Dragon

A limited edition badge for those who had completed 30 lessons between February 1 and 15 in 2024.

This achievement is for Android users only.

Remember it is easy to unlock achievements but it is also easier to lose them due to new Duolingo Updates. 

Mistake Mechanic

This Mobile achievement can be obtained by correcting 150 mistakes. As mentioned, this achievement can’t be unlocked on the web version.

Perfect Week

This Duolingo achievement can be unlocked by completing 5 perfect weeks. Notably, this can only be obtained on Mobile.

Cheerleader

To unlock Cheerleader achievement on Duolingo, you need to send congratulatory messages to five Duolingo users.

Unfortunately, this achievement can’t be completed on Duolingo’s web version.
