Duolingo Adventures

Adventures was announced at Duocon 2024. They are mini-games where the learners have to complete certain tasks for a range of Duolingo characters.
However, Adventures mini-games are currently available for the French for English and the English for Spanish course on Android and iOS.
Learners will explore storylines within the Duolingo universe as they interact with Duolingo characters like Lily or Oscar.

They will also have to practice their target language as they carry out realistic tasks such as ordering coffee, shopping, or asking for directions in the mini-games.
The real-world scenarios in Duolingo Adventures will help you improve your language skills and make you proficient in your target language in a fun manner.
Adventures also helps you with immersive feedback in a unique real-life manner if you make any mistake during a given scenario.
It does not correct you but redirects you. Eg: If you use a wrong word in a particular scenario then the other characters will ask if you meant this or that.

Duolingo Video Call Feature

Duolingo has also launched a new Video Call feature. The feature uses artificial intelligence (AI) and will help you practice conversational skills.
It lets you make a video call to a Duolingo character such as Lily and you can engage in realistic conversation with it.
The video call feature is to help you practice your conversational skills in realistic settings and improve your hold over your target language.

For the unversed, Duolingo video call feature is currently available to iOS subscribers of Duolingo Max which costs $30 a month or $168 a year.
The AI video calling will be available for users who are learning English, Spanish, or French.
Portuguese, Italian, and German lessons will soon receive this feature as well.
Duolingo – Loog Partnership
Besides Adventures and Video Call features, Duolingo has also enhanced its music course by announcing a partnership with Loog, a manufacturer of portable instruments.
The Duolingo and Loog collaboration is set to launch a three-octave electric piano which is compatible with the Duolingo Music course.

This partnership will help learners practice their lessons on the three-octave electric piano.
As Duolingo also has a partnership with Sony Music, learners can also play along to popular songs from their favorite artists.
The Duolingo piano will cost you $249 and can be pre-ordered from the Duolingo Shop. The shipping of the product was supposed to begin in November 2024.
