Duolingo is one of the most downloaded language learning apps with millions of daily active users.
What people love the most about Duolingo is its bite-sized lessons. To keep its users motivated, Duolingo rewards them with Gems and Lingots for completing lessons.
For the unversed, Lingots and Gems are both virtual Duolingo currencies but Gems have replaced Lingots.
Currently, Duolingo has only one currency called GEMS. Whenever you reach a new milestone or earn chests, you will get Gems as a reward.
