Duolingo is a popular language learning app known for its bite-sized lessons. Duolingo Quest refers to a set of challenges within the Duolingo app designed to motivate users to learn and earn rewards. 

Besides the Daily Quests and Friends Quests, Duolingo has now added the Duolingo Weekend Quest. 

Daily quests are individual goals that refresh each day, while Friends Quests are weekly cooperative challenges with a friend.

Duolingo Weekend Quest

The Duolingo “Weekend Quest” is a special, short-duration quest that appears for some users during the weekend, offering a break from the daily and weekly quests.

It offers an additional challenge and reward for users to complete over the weekend.

Unlike the standard Friend Quests, which start on Tuesdays and last five days, the weekend quests appear on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and must be completed quickly.

These are not available to all users simultaneously and appear to be part of an experimental feature or random rollout.

Format: Unlike Friend Quests, which require collaboration, Weekend Quests can be solo quests or involve a friend, and typically have a low goal to make them achievable over a short period.

Tasks: The tasks are varied and can include objectives such as earning a certain amount of XP (e.g., 300 XP), completing a specific number of perfect lessons, or spending a certain amount of time learning.

Goals: The goals are generally designed to be achievable based on your recent activity. If you are a regular user, the goal might be higher than for a less active user to maintain engagement.

Reward: Completing the quest usually rewards you with an XP boost, gems or other in-app items.

Location: The quests appear within the Duolingo app. It is often in the same area where daily and Friend Quests are listed(the “chest” menu).
