Memrise is a popular language-learning app available on Android and iOS. The British language platform functions like a gamified flashcard app.
In addition to the 22 official courses, it also has user-created on varied subjects. They are known as the Memrise community courses.
Community courses have word lists but no video content.
However, it seems that Memrise has discontinued the community courses on Memrise.
Many users have been unable to access the Memrise Community courses in the Memrise app.

Memrise has finally addressed the issue and revealed the Memrise Community courses have been moved to a new website (community-courses.memrise.com).
Users can use their Memrise Login to open the new website and access it. This new URL is created only for community courses.
They have further added that the Course creation will continue to be available.
Users need not worry about their progress as it will be exported to a new website along with the words or phrases the users have learned.

They can easily access it on their mobile web browser and can also create a shortcut for it on their device.
How To Access Memrise Community Courses Website
To access Memrise community courses on Android and iOS, you need to follow the steps written below:
On Android
- First, download and install the Google Chrome browser if you have not already.
- Once installed, launch the browser.
- Now, search for https://community-courses.memrise.com.
- When you do so, you will be asked to log into the platform using your Google or Facebook account.
- Once logged in, tap on the three Vertical Dots.
- When you do so, a bunch of options will appear.
- Now, tap on the ‘Add to Home Screen’ option.
- When you do so, you will be asked to name the Shortcut.

- Once named, click on the ‘Add’ button.
- When you do so, a pop-up will appear asking your permission to add the shortcut.
- To do so, click on the Add button again.
- When you do so, you will see a message that says, ‘Memrise has been added to Homescreen’.
- Now, you can access Memrise Community courses by simply tapping on the Shortcut.
- That’s it.

On iOS
- First, launch the Safari browser on your iOS device.
- After that, search for https://community-courses.memrise.com.
- After visiting the Memrise community course website, navigate and tap on the Share icon.
- When you do so, a bunch of options will appear.
- Now, tap on the Add to Home Screen.
- Now, tap on the Add option located at the top right corner of the screen.
- When you do so, you will have the Memrise shortcut added to your Home screen.
- That’s it.
Remember the new URL is only for community courses and if they were official Memrise courses they can only be accessed through the official Memrise website or app.
New Memrise App Changes:
The new Memrise Officlal app has the following changes in it:
- There are no series of Levels per language.
- Instead, you have a single course for each language.
- The content in each course is divided into Scenarios.
- The Scenarios are divided into two parts — Learn and Review.
- Everything you have previously learned will be seen in the Review section.
- There are thousands of native speaker videos (Videos tab) and an AI Bot.
- Both are aids to practice speaking with (Conversations tab).
